Rally for a Free Iran
United for freedom, democracy and a better future for Iran
On Sunday, June 21, at the Place de la Nation, a free Iran will rise.
Iranians, you who carry seven thousand years of light in your blood — come. Israelis, brothers of the same alliance, from Cyrus to this very day — come. French, children of 1789 and of the rights of man — come.
The regime of the Mullahs believed that by silencing voices it would silence hope. It was wrong. Every bloodied street has raised a thousand consciences; every fallen name has become a flag. Today, from Tehran to Paris, one and the same people, standing, demands what no night can take from it: freedom, democracy, dignity.
Come in great numbers. Come with your children, your flags, your songs. Let the Place de la Nation live up to its name at last. From 4 to 6 p.m., beneath the Lion and the Sun, let us be but a single voice: for a free, democratic, upright Iran.
A people that turns its mourning into light
Look at these people. While the regime of the Mullahs drenches the streets in blood, Iranians enter the stadiums of the World Cup with their heads held high — not with hatred in their fists, but with the flag of the Lion and the Sun in their hearts.
On their jerseys, two dates engraved like a wound and a vow: January 8 and 9. The world was watching a match; the Iranians were carrying the names of their martyrs. Not a cry of vengeance, not a gesture of violence: memory raised like a banner, and the joy of a people that already knows it will win.
This is the Iran we call to the Place de la Nation on June 21. A people that turns its mourning into light and that, from the stands of the World Cup to the squares of Paris, asks the world but one thing: look at us, and stand at our side.
